Chief Engineer
 | Don wandered into the studios of WNIN on a Friday afternoon in January of 1983 to visit a friend. While there, he had the opportunity to watch a local TV show being produced. This is when his love affair with television began. He immediately moved to Evansville from Southern Illinois and began volunteering his time to WNIN. He soon became an employee, thus beginning a career in television broadcasting. |
Don is a graduate of Southeastern Illinois College and Howard W. Sams
Technical Institute. He served an enlistment in the United States Navy as an
electronics technician and worked for The General Telephone Company of
Illinois as a field service technician.
In 1983, Don left WNIN to move into the world of commercial television as
Chief Engineer for one of the local Evansville network affiliates. He
remained in that position for 22 years.
In 2005, Don decided to give up the "rat race" of commercial broadcasting
and he returned home to WNIN. The love affair continues . . .
