WNIN Action Auction
The 2012 WNIN Action Auction is changing! The new Action Auction will be held April 24-28, 2012. Below you will find information on donating, volunteering, sponsoring and other ways to participate in the Action Auction.
- The Auction is broadcast live on WNIN for 40 hours over 5 days.
- Over 800 businesses make an auction donation.
- Over 1,000 auction items are featured each year.
How and Why to Donate to the WNIN Action Auction
By donating to the Action Auction, your company and item will receive on-air exposure on WNIN, which reaches 842,000 households throughout the Tri-State. WNIN offers viewers the opportunity to bid on and buy over 1,000 items and services donated by area businesses and individuals without having to leave their home. The Action Auction is one the oldest and most established fund-raising event in the Tri-State! The reason is simple- everyone benefits.
While the Action Auction provides you with television exposure for a fraction of the cost of traditional advertising, donating demonstrates your support of WNIN and public TV and radio. Public Television is respected and appreciated by our community and, the people of the Tri-State respect and appreciate those companies that support the Action Auction and Public Television. You will generate untold dollars worth of goodwill for your company and help continue programs that inform, motivate and stimulate the imagination. Nonprofits Can Join the Fun too!!
Donate a basket of items to advertise your organization in our Tisket –A-Tasket Basket campaign. WNIN offers viewers the opportunity to bid on and purchase over 1,000 items and services donated by area business, non-profit & civic organizations and friends of WNIN. Donated basket items are displayed on Auction Boards while auctioneers are reading their descriptions.
Pick a Theme for your basket (barbecue, chocolate lovers, quilting, gardening, etc. Your organization gathers items or cash to purchase items to donate. Put the basket (s) together and drop off your donation at the WNIN station or call us for a pick up before April 1,2011.
MINIMUM TOTAL RETAIL VALUE IS $30 each basket. Each organization will be allowed one basket per day, giving you 8 daily opportunities for television exposure.
